Vietnam Airlines to manage transport for Miss World 2010

Vietnam airlines will be the official sponsoring airline for the 60th Miss World contest, which will take place in Vietnam in 2010.
 

The local carrier announced that under a freshly-signed Memorandum of Understanding with the UK Miss World Company, it will manage all transport for the beauty contest from mid-September to October 2010.



The company’s general director Pham Ngoc Minh said the event will coincide with celebrations of the millennium anniversary of Hanoi-Thang Long, giving the country the opportunity promote the value of its traditional culture and its active integration into the world.



He added that it will also be a good chance for the Airline to fulfill its commitments to promoting national images of culture and the people to the world.



The 60th Miss World contest is expected to welcome 130 contestants across the globe as well as a large number of renowned singers and music bands.

Miss Universe 2008 is being held in Vietnam but it is the personal affair of the Miss Universe Organisation. Vietnam’s participation in the contest is limited.
