The Vietnam Environmental Protection Fund and the low-cost Air carrier Jetstar Pacific on June 13 signed an agreement on a greenhouse effect reduction programme.
Accordingly, each passenger of Jetstar Pacific will pay an additional $0.5/local Flight of less than 1.30 hour, $1 for local flight of over 1.30 hours, or $2/ international flight to the Vietnam Environmental Fund.
The contribution will be added to the airfare and printed on tickets. It will be transferred to the Vietnam Environmental Fund to finance environment protection and greenhouse gas diminishing projects in Vietnam.
