Proceeds of Play to Support Victims of Myanmar and China Disasters - Day Of Vesak

A cai luong play entitled “The Life Of Buddha” will be presented free of charge from June 22 to 28 at Dai Dong Theater, 132 Cao Thang Street, District 3.
Donations will go to a fund for victims of the typhoon Nargis in Myanmar and to the victims of an earthquake in Sichuan province in southwest China, according to the Suong Mai charitable club, organizer of the event.

On stage will be the big names of cải lương, including director Tran Ngoc Giau as well as artists Thanh Nguyet, Huu Quoc, Trong Phuc, Ngan Hue Truong Hoang Long, Ngan Tam, and Hong Tham.

The same play was presented to mark the United Nations Day of Vesak at National Convention Center in Ha noi The play is sponsored by the Charity Department of the Viet nam Buddhist Sangha, Giac Ngo Newspaper and Phuoc Sang Entertainment Joint Stock Company.
