More than 50 musicians and dancers from Central Highlands Dak Lak province performed with Cambodian artists at a concert in Phnom Penh on May 20.
Part of a cultural exchange program between Dak Lak and bordering northeastern provinces from Cambodia, the concert featured folk songs and dances and the use of traditional musical instruments from the two countries.
The two-day program included an exhibition on the daily and cultural life of ethnic minority groups in Dak Lak province with pictures and cultural artifacts on show.
Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Chien Thang said he expected the event would promote Dak Lak culture as well as boost friendship between the Central Highlands province and its neighbouring Cambodian provinces.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Cambodian Senior Minister and Minister of Land Planning and Construction, Im Chum Lim, and the Secretary of the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Arts, Hem Chem.
