Lost in Hanoi - exhibition in Hanoi
Two French and a Chilean have been living in Hanoi for years, so how did they “get lost” in the city?
“Lost in Hanoi” is a photo exhibition showing three different views about Hanoi by Antoine Vial, Franck Hamel from France and Nicolas Folch from Chile.
The exhibition will open at the Maison des arts (Art House) at 31A Van Mieu, Hanoi at 8pm, May 22.
The three foreign photographers surveyed Hanoi like adventurers and perhaps the city’s special and romantic architecture, streets and people caused them to “get lost”.
Nicolas Folch was born in 1975 in Chile and has lived in Hanoi for a year. He is a photographer and a poet. He has published many poem collections in French and Spanish. His latest book of poetry is “Une ligne blanche”, which was printed in France in 2007.
Folch also won first prize in a photo contest in Lyon city, France in 2005 and 2006.
Frank Hamel was born in 1979 in Rennes, France. Graduating from the Rennes Art University, he went to Romania to work as a photographer for the Mediafax News Agency. He then worked as art director for Franco-roumain Regard Magazine. After two years working in Romania, he came to Hanoi, Vietnam
