First mountainous tour in Quang Nam opens

Le Nguyen Travel has opened a tour to Bho Hoong village (Dong Giang mountainous district, Quang Nam province) for the first time.
The village is inhabited by some 600 people of Cotu ethnic minority group. They live on weaving traditional brocade and making products from bamboo.

Tourists will have an opportunity to visit “moong” and “guol” houses that are typical among Cotu ethnic group and see how the villagers weave brocade and make bamboo products. Moreover, they can learn Cotu ethnic language, sing, dance and enjoy delicious dishes with the villagers, such as bamboo-tube rice, forest vegetables, “ruou can” (wine drunk out of a jar through pipes.

Tourists will also be able to practice picking tea leaves at Quyet Thang tea farm and enjoy the beautiful view of over 100m high Grang waterfall at Song Tranh Reserve and go along Truong Son road as well.

At present, there is a two-day trip to the village every Saturday, said Le Ho Phuoc Vinh, the travel agency’s director. More trips can be tailored on tourists’ needs.

The first ten foreigners experienced the trip on May 20. It costs a person US $60 two days and a night, including accommodation, transport and tour guide.
