The total number of hotels in Viet nam has increased by 147 percent in the last three years, according to a report on hotels by Grant Thorton (Vietnam) Ltd.
The number of rooms increased by 210 percent and room capacity increased 142 percent from 2003 to 2007.
The number of business visitors increased by 5.26 percent. They account for 40 percent of the total turnover at five-star hotels. Four-star hotels receive 40 percent of visitors.
The Grant Thorton survey covered three to five-star Hotels in ha noi Ho chi minh city Da nang Hoi an Phan thiet and Da lat Ha noi had the most expensive rooms while Da Lat has the cheapest rooms in Viet nam according to the survey.
